I (Lexi, co-founder of ShoesOf) met Annie Georgia Greenberg (Fashion Editor At Large and Creative Producer at Refinery29) years ago when I first started working in fashion. I’ve followed her on Instagram ever since (@theagg) and am fully obsessed with her style. I was pretty amped when she agreed to invite us into her Brooklyn apartment to document five of her favorite looks, from the ground up.
“These shoes are Prada. I got them at Nordstrom. I was really lusting after silver shoes. I have many pairs of silver shoes but only one pair of silver boots so I wanted them to last.”
"When I’m producing on the road I only pack one of everything and these are the jeans that can do it all. I can wear high boots, low boots, my cowboy boots. They are awesome jeans, can’t recommend them enough."
"The dress I bought at a charity sale. It was on a mannequin and you know when a dress is on a mannequin and you have to bother someone to take it off? Then if you don’t buy it you’re like ‘Well I’m an ass hole because I just made you do all of that’. That was me…except the dress fit perfectly and it was a fairy tale story."
“These boots are over 40 years old. They were my mothers and I love them so much. I finally convinced her to give them to me ‘TEMPORARILY’ (in quotes!). I went to a school with a dress code and sneakers weren’t in dress code so I used to wear these in high school…before cowboy boots were back.”
"This dress I got at this amazing vintage store in Tel Aviv called Love Me Two Times. The store was incredible. I stocked up there! The bag is from San Miguel de Allende… I think it was $1. At most $3… I bought like 15 of them!"
“I have wanted these shoes for months and months and months. I slept on it and I didn’t get them and then I bugged everyone I know that has connects at ACNE and was like ‘you HAVE to tell me when they are back in stock!’ Sure enough they’re back in. It was the first time I clearheadedly walked into a store, knew what I wanted, got the thing and walked out. A big girl purchase. I just know that I am going to wear these all summer long because they are comfortable and hilarious!”
“These shoes are part of my Carel obsession. Whenever I go to Paris… or really just whenever… I lust over Carel shoes. They are well made, beautiful, feminine and these red ones fit like a glove. They are awesome.”
"This jacket is Levi’s and it’s actually my boyfriends… but not today! I finished the outfit with this rad vintage Budweiser racing jacket. I think racing is having a moment and while I can’t so much as drive a car I like the look of it. I got it at Beacon’s Closet when I went to sell my own clothes… Oops!"
