Chloe King is the social media manager at Bergdorf Goodman. We documented five of her favorite looks, from the ground up.
“I got these boots at Paul Andrew sample sale. One of my favorite people used to work there and she steered me directly to these, which she knew I would love. The exotic skin is so good, and the navy always feels unexpected and fresh. Extra points for the tassel.”
"Call me crazy…Animal print is more or less a neutral, right?"
“I love a grandma heel. Low and chunky, they always feel cooler to me than a stiletto. I tend to be pretty adventurous in my clothing, so my shoes have to be versatile. And call me crazy, but animal print is more or less a neutral, right?”
“The fashion industry is obsessed with a white shoe, something you’ll continue to see in the boot category through fall. A white shoe just feels modern and cool. I saw an editor wear these and internet stalked them down – the square toe, high cut and curved heel are ugly pretty in the best possible way.”
“I’m usually a converse girl, but sometimes a bright white leather sneaker feels more polished. I always prefer a new/more obscure designer than the trendiest, so to me these Koio were the perfect version of the seen-everywhere Stan Smith.”
“Ah, Gucci. While I’m the first to go crazy over their high drama studded/pearl/glitter/patched styles, Alessandro also does understated really well. I loved the chunky gold heel and military influence to these boots, and they’re the perfect mid height to wear with cropped jeans. The signature Gucci ribbon and bee are sometimes all you need.”
